Rosy Apple’s Managing Director, Sharon Alexander invited to be a founder member of the prestigious North West Apprenticeship Ambassadors Network
Sharon Alexander has been invited to become an Ambassador by the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) and will take up her role for the first time at an inaugural event for key NW Employers to be held at Bentley Motors in Crewe on 2nd December.
As well as supporting NAS at events, Sharon will also act as an advocate for Apprenticeships, feature in NAS case studies, host and support VIP/Ministerial visits, speak at events and promote the benefits of Apprenticeships to other employers.
Delighted to be joining this elite group of business leaders, Sharon says: “I’m looking forward to becoming an advocate for Apprenticeships in the North West as I know from personal experience just how valuable they are in attracting and nurturing fresh new talent. I’m very aware of the issues that employers face, especially during the current challenging business environment and I’m keen to raise awareness and spread the word about the important contribution apprentices can make to the future economic recovery.”
The Ambassadors Network will comprise of specific individuals from across the spectrum of NW businesses, from small to large and from the private and the public sector.
Rosy Apple’s commitment to apprentices has previously been recognised. In the 2009 Apprenticeship Awards, Rosy Apple Childcare was highly commended in the Medium Employer of the Year Award category. In 2008, Hajra Dawood, an apprentice at Little Achievers @ Headstart Nursery was Lancashire’s Apprentice of the Year and Rosy Apple also won the Performance Through People Award in the 2008 BIBAs.
